OUR STORY

We first met each other here in Tamarindo, Costa Rica while enjoying our shared passion of surfing. Sparks flew, we fell in love, and it wasn't long until we found out that we were pregnant.... with TWINS! " After adjusting to our new family life, we quickly realized the challenges that every traveling family with babies must go through.

 

The idea of renting baby equipment came to our minds during a delirious 3:00am feeding. We were imagining our first surf trip with our newborn twin boys. "But how would we bring all of our baby gear?", Ryan asked...

 

Tico Friends Baby Equipment Rental was born the following morning with the objective to provide stress free vacations to adventurous families traveling to Costa Rica. We are proud to say that we are the first baby equipment company in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

 

The name" Friend" has been a name in Ryan's family since his great- great grandfather, Friend Waldron. Ryan's middle name is Friend so we decided to put "Friend" for both Jonathan and Sebastian's middle name as well! With a middle name like Friend, how could you ever be mean to anyone?

We did our first rental at Witch's Rock Surf Camp October 2016. The family loved to hear our unique story and were thrilled with the cleanliness and quality of the items. The equipment drop off, set up, break down, and pick up were all included in the rental giving us the opportunity to meet the clients on a personal level.
